This is a band of songs and friendships. Somewhere along the musical road where heartland rock met the Atchafalaya Basin - rock n’ roll souls, searching for hearts of gold. This group is about songwriting and putting out sounds of healing and hope. Through pain and redemption, Mike wears his heart on his sleeve, and the band always gives their all. The Ones That Got Away…away from the grind, from the forgotten life, from the haters. The band’s first album, SUNSET LIMITED has been a unique addition to the south Louisiana music scene, both rooted in tradition and bursting with soulful exploration. The band will be making their Festival International de Louisiane debut April 24, 2025!

Reece Sullivan is a songwriter from Lafayette that plays Tragicomic Modern Folk: lyrically based songs often over fingerpicking guitar. He is the 2024 first place winner Indie International Pop and 1st place winner 2021 Rocky Mountain Songwriter Competition.

Founding member of the musical duo, Shawn and Lance, Shawn Carter is a singer, songwriter and keyboard player from Lafayette who has been writing, recording and performing music in South Louisiana for decades.
