Admission info - Friday Admission: $10.00pp, Saturday Admission: $15.00pp, weekend special $20.00. Kids 7 thru 12 are $5.00, 6 and under are FREE.
Festival Times - Friday: music kicks-off at 7:00pm. Saturday: Pub Crawl leaves at 9am from the Hideaway. Festival starts at 12 noon.
Guinness cook-off: Did you know that our festival is host to the ONLY Guinness cook-off in the WORLD! Yes, that is right. We have one primary rule for our competition... whatever you choose to cook, must have Guinness beer as your main ingredient. YUMM! Whethere you choose to deglaze, saute, marinate, or make a sauce - the Guinness flavor must shine through. You can register from our website at www.celticbayoufestival.com/guinness-cook-off. Festival attendees will be able to choose 'Taster Choice' that day for a small fee.
Music Lineup: The Birch trees, The Here and Now with Tony Davoren, The Gaulway Ramblers, The Máirtín de Cógáin project, Drew Landry, Avoca, Whiskey Bay Rovers, Caledonia Pipe band, Les Amis de Teche. And also “A special O’Cajun’ Irish and Cajun tunes with Wilson Savoy The Birch Trees and friends
Children's Tent: We kick off the fun at 12noon with Children's activities. We also will have face painting, St. Patrick's Day crafts donated by the Lafayette Children's Museum, Irish language tutorial and an Irish dance performance. Children's area closes at 3:00pm.
Ryan School of Irish dance: Our dancers are back! The Ryan school, made up of Irish dancers from Lafayette and New Orleans will be performing in the main area and also providing a dance tutorial at the Children's tent.
Caledonian Bagpipers: Based in Baton Rouge, our bagpipers will be marching through our Festival on Lee
Whiskey Tasting: 10 different whiskeys from the Celtic Nations will be showcased! This is limited to 50 particpants! We will have two tastings; 1:30pm and 4:00pm. Tasting requires a seperate ticket - $20.00pp. **Due to overwhelming demand- this fills up quick, so buy your tickets early! Day of tickets cost: $25.00
Festival Pub: Our CBF volunteers will be selling our St. Patricks day specialty drinks again - sponsored by Guinness, Bailey's, Two Gingers, and Reve Coffee!!
Pub Crawl: Join us in merriment as we stroll thru downtown Lafayette having the CRAIC with Irish singing, storytelling and drink! Pub Crawl leaves Hideaway at 9:30am!!! We are excited to announce this years PUB CRAWL GRAND MARSHALL - Gerald Gruenig from KLFY! First 50 registered receive a FREE T-shirt! Be sure to dress us Green as you can! Tickets are $10.00
Food: The Hideway will have a special St. Patrick's Day menu for the whole family available. In addition, we will have a food truck (menu to come). Festival goers can also purchase tastings from our Guinness Cook-Off contestants.
